The 11th annual WishFlight on Friday, November 10, 2006, brought many "wish" families together in Orlando's Give Kids the World Village®. On Saturday, November 11, 2006, all the families at the Village® were treated to a magical party. This year's theme included a life-size Candyland® game rendition of Give Kids the World Village®.

This year's WishFlight transported 20 children and their families to Orlando for a mAAgical week of fun. The families came from Seattle, Cincinnati, two from Memphis, Honolulu, three from Dallas/Ft. Worth, Los Angeles, Portland, Phoenix, Boston, Miami, San Antonio, Kansas City, two from Tulsa, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Little Rock, Northwest Arkansas and Lima, Peru. The children on WishFlight 2006 ranged in age from three to 15.

The success of the 2006 WishFlight could never have been accomplished without the unselfish donation of time and effort by hundreds of volunteers in all the departure and connection cities. American Airlines, American Eagle, American Airlines Federal Credit Union employees and their friends and families pulled together to make this one of the most memorable WishFlights in our 11-year history - and one that will not soon be forgotten.
