On October 19, festivities took place across the American Airlines system for the Wish Children and their families at their departure and connecting airports, including a welcome celebration upon their arrival in Orlando.

On Saturday, October 20, the morning began with breakfast at Give Kids the World Village® and was followed by a ground breaking ceremony for a villa that the Something mAAgic Foundation® is sponsoring at the village. Later that night, the celebration continued with a party for all family members staying at the Village including carnival games, food, music and dancing.
