Each year the Something mAAgic Foundation provides a post-event update about mAAgic^sm flight.  Even though we achieved some wonderful milestones in 2010 – our 15th event, sponsoring 42 children, and the incredible number of volunteers that made the event a success - we decided instead, to share with you, some of the reasons we do what we do.  We hope you enjoy reading about the families’ and volunteer experiences as they shared them with us.

From Our Families:

The countdown continues! The kids are more excited than when Christmas comes!  We are all looking forward to this!

We are so excited to be a part of the WishFlight 2010! Our daughter is so excited for Friday and we can’t wait to meet all of the beautiful people that helped make this happen!

We are so excited… we got a box from Something mAAgic and our son is counting the days now.  We want to thank everybody for making his dreams come true.

4 days until we leave 5 days until we all get there!! Dreams really do come true!!

We are very excited and honored to be part of this year’s WishFlight.  Thank You for choosing our son to be part of this amazing event!  The countdown has begun!  

What a wonderful foundation! Thank you for making so many children so happy!  I can just imagine my grandson’s little face with excitement! Thank You.

We started our countdown this morning and then we were surprised with a box in the mail from Something mAAgic!!  I had to convince my son to give me the shirt back so we could save it for the flight day! Thank you so much!!

We are SO honored & excited to be part of WishFlight 2010. We just got a wonderful surprise in the mail, THANK YOU it made our day!!! We can’t wait till October 1st. :-) Let the 10 day countdown begin!!!

More than special...there are no words to describe what you have done!!!! 

You guys are ALL amazing! What a great time we had after having a very rough year. Thank you so much! We had a BLAST!!

Thanks so much for everything!! We had a beautiful trip. This trip was a dream come true and we are so grateful for everything you have done. Thanks to Something mAAgic Foundation, and all the volunteers, sponsors and organizations that made this special trip possible. We will always remember it.s treasure the beautiful memories in out hearts....

The pilot asked if she was ready to take off and after she shouted, “Yes!” and when the plane started moving he said, “We are going to start your trip with a sprinkling of pixie dust to help us fly!” 

I wanted to say “thank you” for such a wonderful send off.  That was beyond surreal and so mAAgical! The food at the party Saturday night was great too! Just everything you have done for all of us - words can never express how thankful and grateful we are as a family for everything you did for us.

Everything was so special.....Thank you so much!

Words are truly inadequate to express what this day meant to us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

For two years, he’s been wanting to come here and we couldn’t afford it and so, it was like a God sent gift and because of people like y’all that his little dream came true.

We were SO EXHAUSTED from a day at the parks and honestly did not want to go to the party on Saturday night. But once it got started, we had to drag our kids away from it and ended up being one of the last to leave. It was an amazing party! Thank you so much!   

What a wonderful foundation! Thank you for making so many children so happy!

This is the week of wishes and miracles!

We made it to Orlando! The entire day was absolutely unbelievable! Thank you to each and everyone that helped make this possible!

It was truly a complete miracle for my son to walk up to people and the characters and talk to them!

At one point I could not hold back the tears when I was handed a card for myself and my husband that said that American Airlines wanted our son to get everything he dreamed of  - and inside were gift cards for our trip.

In my wildest dreams I would have never imagined what was done that day for my family but most of all for my little boy.

You’ve all brought happiness to our family when we needed it the most, and for that we can never say thank you enough.

We got to experience the mAAgic last year with our daughter. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!  Such wonderful people with enormous hearts - thank you all for the experience!

From Our Wonderful Volunteers:

This was my first year and it is not going to be my last year volunteering for WishFlight. I had such a great time playing and dancing with the kids. It was the most rewarding feeling I've ever felt.

Have to say I love doing this event every year! This has to be my most rewarding day during the year! Thanks Something MAAgic Foundation for letting so many of us take part in this wonderful event. I urge everyone to get involved and participate. Most rewarding experience you will have!

This was the funnest thing I did in a long time.  I actually felt like I was doing something.  Thanks for letting Colleyville Middle School come and have such an amazing experience. 

It was a GREAT event, we feel soooooo happy to help with this cause.  My heart was beating so fast - thanks for giving me the chance to participate!!!

I am SUPER SUPER EXCITED!! This will be my first year to be a part of this great event!

I am so excited to be a part of this.  This will be my second year volunteering :) I can’t wait to make a difference in these children's lives.

Louisville is doing another WishFlight this year!! We are already planning for it! We’re going to make this flight as special as possible, just like last year!

The Something mAAgic Foundation and the AA employees truly treated her like a princess at her send off party.

It is times like this that we feel the words “Thank You” are barely enough.  How come the Eskimos have lots of words for snow, but we just have one to show appreciation.  It’s not enough, but it’s all we have, so I just keep saying Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

It was wonderful that they got to focus on being a family again and having fun.
